Stimulus Talks Push Markets Higher

Stocks enjoyed their best weekly performance in months on renewed hopes of an additional fiscal stimulus package.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average turned positive on the year with a 3.3% weekly advance. The big board closed at 28,586.90. The S&P 500 finished at 3,477.13, gaining 3.8% on the week. The tech-heavy NASDAQ surged 4.6% on the week to end at 11,579.94. It was the best weekly performance for the S&P and the NASDAQ since July.
