AdvisorHub Reader Survey Results: Who Are You?
We’ve just completed our annual user survey, and I’m excited to reveal what the results say about the quality of our readership and how they will guide our site going forward.
Thanks to the input of hundreds of you who completed the survey, which was conducted by a third-party over the past month, we know that you are among the most successful and experienced Financial Advisors in the country:
- 50% of you manage assets over $100 million
- 25% of you manage assets over $250 million
- Our average RIA reader manages $675 million
- 55% of you have production over $500k, a third over $1 million
- 86% of you have been licensed for over 10 years
- Over 80% of you are insurance licensed
- 75% of you have changed firms at least once
I am pleased to be in such good company.
I’m also grateful for those of you who gave input, especially those 125 of you representing large and small firms who agreed in the survey or after listening to our first webinar to take part in our Advisor Council.
Your comments have been critical in shaping our site. Our reporting and analysis of the latest developments in this rapidly changing industry will always be our mainstay, but we also want to give you other resources and tools to help you grow your business.
Along those lines, we have added two new sections on the site. I invite you to browse our Fintech page, a directory of popular software and other technology, to uncover the latest innovations and find the right tool for your business.
We also launched a Markets section with timely statistics, searchable charts and original content.
We’re also enhancing some of the pages you already have come to enjoy. For example, we established a partnership with BrokerHunter.com to turn the Deals and Compensation section into a comprehensive Career Center. We now aggregate industry job postings along with insider deals and compensation charts. We continue to expand our popular Recruiting Wire, a comprehensive source for industry moves and measure of the who is winning and losing the recruiting wars.
With BrokerHunter, we’ll also be delivering more webinars and events catered to topics that you wanted to hear more about, such as succession planning, valuing your practice and what is going to happen to recruiting deals.
Stay tuned for more as we have additional innovative offerings that will be revealed in July, including a one-of-a-kind asset manager directory, information library and interactive sales community.
We are coming off of our biggest month for new users in site history this May and look forward to continued user growth. Our News division has broken national news stories picked up by Bloomberg, The New York Post and the Wall Street Journal, but most importantly, stories we feel make a difference for the industry and your business.
Thank you for following along and please continue to share feedback, comments and tips to help us stay at the forefront of the conversation.
